Shay Howe, Web Designer

As a web and user interface designer, Shay Howe believes good design can change the way users interact and utilize the web. Shay is a designer because he has a passion for solving puzzles while creating pleasing visual solutions at the same time.

Joining Lever Interactive in 2009, Shay is responsible for the design and development of his clients’ websites, landing pages, email campaigns, and other online presences. These daily responsibilities include designing, coding, and programming websites, as well as working closely with user testing and front end development tasks. Shay spends most of his day digging into Photoshop and Illustrator, turning exceptional designs into HTML/CSS. He has also been known to bash on Internet Explore from time to time.

Prior to joining Lever Interactive, Shay worked as a freelance web and user interface designer, as well as, the Director of Design for a small web development and search engine optimization agency in Phoenix, Arizona. Shay occasionally speaks on web design and development and frequently writes on the subject in his web design and development blog.

Shay graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Advancing Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Digital Multimedia with a primary focus in Web Design.

When the work day ends Shay does not. He can be found clicking more buttons and pressing more keys while designing websites and playing with the latest technologies at home. When he is not designing websites, Shay can be found riding his bike off mountain cliffs throughout the country, playing drums for various different bands, or perhaps looking for sharks in the ocean. Shay loves a good cupcake, or 12, along with saving Gotham City with his pal Robin.

• Shay once lived in a 16 passenger van with 7 of his best friends. They traveled the country rocking small venues all the way from Seattle to Miami.
• Shay has a crazy fixation with Basset Hounds although he has never had a dog. One day.
• Shay’s middle name is Shay. His first name is Wesley, after his father.
