Why the name Lever?
Effective online marketing (and all marketing in general) is about knowing which “levers” to pull and when in order to maximize the efficiency of your efforts. Continual adjustments and a knowledge of their effects are what make online marketing work best.
Why the British pronunciation of our name? Well, it limits the chances that when we answer the phone, people think we work at Lover Interactive, which would probably sell different services.

Our team isn’t made up of people right out of college. We have years and years of experience on both the client and agency sides of the business, having worked with clients of all sizes. We understand the challenges you face every day, and we have solutions to offer.
We have a wealth of knowledge gained from experience, and we don’t hoard it. Of course we use this knowledge to run successful online marketing programs. But we also understand that our client contacts need to report to their management. We are happy to share our knowledge and insights with them in order to make them look good. Lever was set up to be extremely flexible in working with our clients. Headquartered just outside of Chicago, we’ve worked with clients of all shapes and sizes, from large international retail clients to small local service providers. We can customize services, reporting, billing methods and just about anything else you can think of. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.
We have great relationships with many of the industry’s best service providers. We’ve been working with the Google team since they first opened an office in Chicago. These close ties with top industry talent help keep us informed of the latest news and allow us to tap into our network to leverage relationships when clients have urgent needs.
Most agencies do the bare minimum to be able to say they are certified. And what do we think of people who just do the bare minimum? We make sure to develop our talent. We are well on our way to having every member of our team individually, not just as a team, Adwords and/or Analytics certified through Google. This is relatively unheard of. But we don’t settle for good enough.
We use the latest and greatest in technology, but we believe that it is wasted without the input of people. We don’t just hit a button and watch our clients’ online marketing programs run. There is human intervention and input in every process we utilize. We believe that technology should be leveraged thoughtfully and with purpose to automate simple or redundant processes for efficiency, but not relied upon in place of human input.
The online marketing industry is constantly changing. The same processes that many used to “help” their clients two years ago could very well be harming them today. We recognize the challenge for companies’ marketing teams trying to keep up with all of the change. That’s what we’re for.
